Holly Current Events

Today for the current events quiz I researched the Lake Ohau Fire.
I saw it on Tv earlier this year and it looked devastating.
There was a lot of land that was burnt away.

Kakapo Current Events

Today in Taiao we did the current events quiz and there was a question about the Kakapo.
I decided to research about the Kakapo. The Kakapo bird was crowned the bird of the year for the second time and that has apparently never happened before.

Tunnel underneath Stonehenge

Today for current events we did something a little bit different, we had to pick two topics from the quiz and research them both, the first one is just a standard presentation but the second has to be to a higher standard, for example, using Wevideo or an animation.
This is my first one about Stonehenge and the tunnel that is going to be built underneath it.

Japan radioactive water

Today for current events I decided to research Japans radioactive water release.
It was really interesting to read about and I learnt a lot about it.
I don't think they should because that could affect the whole world as these things spread.
Many seafood companies are worried about how this could stop their business.
If they do this it could spread all throughout the oceans and they may never be safe to swim in again.
I hope this teaches you something about it and I hope you like it.

Astronauts finally find source of year-long air leak.

Yesterday Taiao did another current events quiz.
Today we did the research on one of the questions and I did mine on the air leak on the International space station, it was really interesting to read about and I learnt a lot from it.
I hope you learn something about it by reading the information on this drawing and I hope you like it.
The bottom picture is a photo of the ISS (International Space Station).
